Titled Hanuman Ansh, the movie is written and directed by Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi and produced by Ragini S, Namrata Singh, and Anupriya A Nagar. The film will have a worldwide release in June 2026 and will be presented in Hindi, along with Braj and Bundeli, paying tribute to the languages rooted in Maharajji’s early life.
Presented by Swambhu Media Network, the film chronicles the life and spiritual journey of Sri Neem Karoli Baba.
Who Was Neem Karoli Baba?
Born as Lakshmi Narayan Sharma in Akbarpur, he later came to be affectionately known as Kambal Wale Baba. His ashrams in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand and across Uttar Pradesh continue to attract devotees from India and abroad.According to the makers, Hanuman Ansh places special emphasis on his early years and his influence on Western disciples such as Ram Dass. The film explores his childhood, his life as a householder, and the quiet, transformative moments that shaped his spiritual path. The team reportedly travelled extensively and consulted families and living witnesses to ensure authenticity and accuracy.
Speaking about the project, writer-director Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi said, “Maharajji never delivered lectures or displayed miracles. He changed people quietly, in passing. Personally, I learned the meaning of surrender while writing and making this film.”
Producer Ragini S shared, “I came to Maharajji not seeking anything. I’ve since learned that is exactly how he prefers it. When this film came to me, it felt familiar — like something I already knew. There was no decision to make.”
Namrata Singh added, “We feel accountable to this story in a way that goes beyond craft. Everyone involved understands that the intention behind every frame must reflect the intention Maharajji brought to every encounter.”
Anupriya A Nagar said, “Spirituality, to me, isn’t distant or abstract — it’s something you live daily. This film reflects that belief, where love is expressed through action and seva becomes a natural way of life.”
From the spiritual energy of Kainchi Dham — visited by devotees from around the world, including Mark Zuckerberg — to the simplicity of his beginnings, Hanuman Ansh traces the sacred journey of a saint who continues to inspire millions.
The film is scheduled for a global release in June 2026.
