FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: Ananya Pandey, Shanaya Kapoor enjoy France vs Morocco with Sania Mirza, shares pics

Actors Ananya Pandey and Shanaya Kapoor were spotted amongst the fans who were enjoying the semi-finals between France and Morocco at the Al Bayt stadium during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

They were seen supporting the French team as both were donning blue outfits in support of the 2018 World Cup winners. The bollywood duo were joined by the ace tennis player Sania Mirza, who was also seen enjoying the match at the stadium in Qatar. Mirza later, after the match posted a selfie with them on her official Instagram handle.

Meanwhile, Pandey also shared a few clips from the match and also shared a separate video of French superstar Kylian Mbappe on her official Instagram handle.


The semi-final match between France and Morocco was historic as this was the first time that an African team had qualified in the semi-finals of a world cup.

The match saw the French side beating the Moroccan side to pave their way into the world cup finals, which is scheduled to be held at the Lusail Stadium on December 18. France’s Theo Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani netted two goals which ensured Didier Deschamps’ side victory by 2-0.

Earlier, Ananya Pandey was also seen enjoying the clash between Lionel Messi’s Argentina and Luka Modric’s Croatia live at Al Bayat Stadium. The match saw Argentina beating Croatia by 3-0 and thus making the way for the Argentine superstar Messi, to lead the side at the World Cup finals against the retaining world champions France.

Ananya Pandey is in Qatar along with her father Chunkey Pandey, her actor-father Sanjay Kapoor, her friend Shanaya Kapoor, and also her brother Jahaan Kapoor.

Meanwhile, Pandey was last seen starring in ‘Liger’ alongside Vijay Deverakonda. She will be next seen in ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan,’ where she will be sharing the screen with Siddhant Chaturvedi.
