Four teams from Groups A and B of the FIFA World Cup 2022 have already qualified for Round 16, including the Netherlands, Senegal, England, and the United States. However, fans from all over the world are hopeful that the Qatar World Cup would feature a showdown between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Portugal, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, has already clinched a spot in the Round of 16, and they will play South Korea in their last group game to establish the Group H standings. The five-time winner of the Ballon d'Or initiated the scoring against Ghana, and Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United scored twice against Uruguay.

Argentina lost 1-2 to Saudi Arabia in their opening match before defeating Mexico 2-0 in the second. Against Mexico and Saudi Arabia, Argentina's captain Lionel Messi scored, and Enzo Fernandez ended up scoring the game-winning goal against Mexico.


Argentina is ranked second in Group C with three points and a one-goal differential, while Portugal is in first place in Group H with six points and a three-goal goal differential. The FIFA World Cup 2022 semifinal or championship match between Portugal and Argentina is a possibility, given the way the knockout stages draw was made.
