FIFA World Cup 2022: England vs. Iran live streaming, prediction, time, and other details

Team England is set to take on Team Iran on Day 2 of the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022. The Group B match will start later today at 6.30 p.m. IST (Indian Standard Time) and is to be played at Qatar's Khalifa International Stadium. This will be the first match of Day 2 of the tournament, followed by the Senegal vs. Netherlands game.

Currently, the Iran team is ranked 20th, while England is in fifth place; obviously, the predictions are hugely in favour of the latter, with more than 70 percent predicting a win for the England team which has a record of winning its first game in the past world cups.

Meanwhile, a controversy has erupted even before the match after the England team decided to take a knee before their FIFA Qatar World Cup 2022 opener against Iran as a gesture against racism and inequality. England have kneeled before games since 2020, initially in solidarity with protests over George Floyd's death at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer and then in support of equality. Captain Harry Kane will wear the One Love armband in support of equality. While it is not solely aimed at the rights of the LGBTQ community, it is significant in Qatar, where homosexuality is illegal.



England's FIFA 2018 hero Harry Kane is expected to rock the tournament, though he is not in his best form. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jude Bellingham are the other noted England players to watch out for.

In the meantime, Iran's Messi Sardar Azmoun tops the list with 41 goals in 65 appearances.Team England should also watch out for Mehdi Taremi, who has scored an overall total of 42 goals since 2020. In a short period of three years, Iranian Alireza Jahanbakhsh made around 50 appearances for the Seagulls.

The match will be televised live on Sports18 and Sports18 HD TV channels on November 21 at 18:30 IST. Some apps and websites will broadcast live streaming of the match, like Jio Cinema's app in India.
