New York, Dec 21 (IANS) The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information about a 29-year-old Indian student who went missing from New Jersey over four years ago.
At the heart of an intricate mystery lies the puzzling disappearance of Mayushi Bhagat, a 29-year-old Indian student who vanished from Jersey City more than four years ago. On that significant evening of April 29, 2019, Bhagat was last seen leaving her Jersey City apartment adorned in colorful pyjamas and a black T-shirt. Her absence sparked immediate concern, prompting her family to alert authorities on May 1, 2019, initiating an exhaustive search effort that, till date, remains unresolved.

The FBI Newark Field Office and the Jersey City Police Department are actively engaged in a relentless pursuit to uncover any trace of Bhagat. July 1994 marked the arrival of Mayushi Bhagat into this world in India. Her pursuit of academic excellence led her to the United States on a student visa, enrolling at the esteemed New York Institute of Technology. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, Bhagat was integrated into a social circle that extended to South Plainfield, New Jersey. Standing tall at 5'10" with distinctive black hair and brown eyes, she commenced her American journey in 2016 on an F1 student visa.
