The incident reportedly took place late on Monday after the two accused offered her a lift while she was waiting for transport. The woman is currently undergoing treatment and is not yet fit to record her statement, police added.
Accused in Custody
The duo, originally from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh and currently residing in Faridabad, have been arrested, police said.Details of the Incident
According to the complaint lodged by the woman’s sister, she had been staying at her parents’ house due to marital discord. On Monday evening, she visited a friend’s residence in Sector 23 and was offered a lift by the accused while returning home late at night.Instead of taking her to her destination, the two men allegedly drove towards Gurugram and raped her inside the vehicle, police stated.
“The woman was driven around through the night and was thrown out of the car near Raja Chowk at around 3 am, leaving her with serious injuries,” a police officer said.
She managed to contact her sister, who reached the scene and took her to Badshah Khan Hospital, police added.
Investigation Underway
“We have apprehended the accused and are questioning them. A test identification parade of the accused will be conducted soon,” said Yashpal Yadav, spokesperson for Faridabad police, as quoted by PTI.The police investigation is ongoing, and authorities are gathering further evidence in the case.
