Fake experience certificates land man nearly Rs 3 lakh a month Group VP job, police arrest him in Kanpur

A man has been arrested in Kanpur for allegedly using forged experience certificates to secure a senior position at an automobile company in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where he was reportedly drawing a monthly salary of Rs 2.80 lakh, as per an NDTV report. The accused, identified as Devendra Kumar Dubey, allegedly claimed to have previously worked for the Landmark Group while applying for the post of Group Vice President at Shritulja Bhavani Automobile Private Limited in Gwalior. Police said their investigation found that Dubey had never been employed by the company he had cited as his previous employer.

The police told NDTV a case had been registered against Dubey, son of Ramnaresh Kumar Dubey and a resident of Kanpur.

Allegedly secured job with three forged certificates

According to police, Dubey submitted three fake experience certificates and other documents while applying for the Group Vice President position.

Investigators found during the probe that he had no work history with the Landmark Group, despite allegedly using its name to support his employment claims.

Police are now questioning Dubey to determine how the forged certificates and other documents were prepared and how he used them to obtain the senior position.

Salary of Rs 2.80 lakh a month

Despite allegedly having no previous employment with the company mentioned in his documents, Dubey secured the position and continued working at Shritulja Bhavani Automobile Private Limited, police said.

Investigators said he was receiving a monthly salary of Rs 2,80,670 while working as Group Vice President.

The case is being investigated as an alleged forgery and job fraud, with police examining the circumstances surrounding the preparation and submission of the documents.

Arrested during Kanpur raid

Following the registration of the case, Crime Branch teams began looking for Dubey.

A police team conducted a raid in Kanpur on Monday and arrested him, officials said. He is being brought to Gwalior for further questioning.

Police will question Dubey about the alleged forged documents, how they were prepared and the circumstances in which he obtained the senior position at the automobile company.
