FairPlay: Rapper Badshah questioned by Maha police in online betting app case
Indian rapper Badshah has appeared before Maharashtra Police Cyber Cell for promoting online betting company app 'FairPlay.' At least 40 other celebrities including the rapper have been under the lens for allegedly promoting the FairPlay app.

FairPlay, a sports and gaming exchange licensed by Curacao authorities, announced the rapper as its brand ambassador in the early months of 2023.
The Viacom 18 network had filed an FIR against the rapper and 40 other actors, including actor Sanjay Dutt, for allegedly promoting the viewing of the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches on a betting app, named Fairplay, according to media reports.
Reliance Industries-backed 'Viacom18' has digital rights for IPL from 2023 to 2027. The rights were acquired by the company by winning a bid of Rs 20,500 crore.
As per the reports, the company has charged complaints over the illegal streaming of IPL matches on the betting app. A case of digital piracy has been filed.
The Fairplay app is a subsidiary of Mahadev app.
Recently, big names in the Bollywood industry such as Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor were summoned due to their involvement in the promotion of the betting app.
