Netflix's highly successful movie "Extraction" will have a sequel released in the summer of 2023, featuring Chris Hemsworth, who will return to play the role of Tyler Rake once again.

The filming of "Extraction 2" was initially planned to take place in Sydney, Australia, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, the production was relocated to Prague, Czech Republic. In late November 2021, Chris Hemsworth shared on his Instagram account that filming was about to commence.
By March 19th, 2022, the filming of "Extraction 2" had concluded, and the movie had entered the post-production phase. During Netflix's latest TUDUM event on September 24th, the streaming platform unveiled some remarkable behind-the-scenes footage of the upcoming movie.
According to The Prague Reporter, "Extraction 2" underwent some reshoots in Prague, which were completed over a short period of a few weeks. Chris Hemsworth confirmed the wrap-up of the reshoots through a social media post on November 12.

However, in January 2023, an official announcement was made, setting the release date of the new movie on June 16, 2023.
