Uttar Pradesh-based English teacher and content creator Yashoda Lodhi, widely known online as ‘English with Dehati Madam’, has received a major social media boost after Priyanka Chopra shared one of her videos on Instagram. The video, which showed Yashoda recording content while working on her farm, has since attracted more than 34 million views and more than 1.8 million likes.

The recognition came unexpectedly for Yashoda, who said she had been filming while doing farm work despite being scolded by her husband for making the video. After uploading it to Instagram, she later discovered that Priyanka Chopra had shared the clip on her Instagram Story.

Yashoda thanks Priyanka Chopra for sharing her video

Yashoda subsequently posted a video expressing her gratitude to the actor and described the interaction as a particularly memorable moment.

“Priyanka Chopra Jonas ma'am shared my video on her story, and she has made my day really special for me,” she said.

The actor’s shout-out also coincided with a sharp rise in Yashoda’s social media reach. Her Instagram account now has more than 583,000 followers, while her YouTube channel has crossed 400,000 followers.

In the caption accompanying her video, Yashoda said she does not own a television and does not closely follow celebrities. She explained that this meant she was initially unaware of the attention her content was receiving from prominent personalities.

‘Never underestimate your small efforts’

Reflecting on Priyanka’s gesture, Yashoda said the moment was particularly meaningful because of her journey from working in a village to having her content noticed by someone she admires.

She thanked Priyanka for appreciating and sharing her work and said the recognition had given her happiness and motivation to continue learning, working and creating content.

Yashoda also shared a message with her followers, urging them not to underestimate small efforts because they never know who might be watching their work.
