Elon Musk's shirtless pictures go viral, he says he needs to do it more often

While the spotlight was on his legal battle with Twitter, Tesla founder Elon Musk was having a quiet day off under the sun.

Pictures splashed across social media showed Musk with his friends on a luxury yacht off the coast of the Greek island of Mykonos. Page Six reported he was with newly-wed friends Ari Emanuel and Sarah Staudinger on board the 'Zeus'.

The pictures showed the world's richest man stripped down to his black swim trunks as he got down into the waters of the Aegean sea for a swim.


The shirtless pictures of Musk sparked off several rounds of ribbing on Twitter. Some commented that the pictures ruined their day. Others posted pictures of a blobfish alongside.

Musk, 51, cheekily responded to one of the jokes saying he needed to take his shirt off more often. "Haha damn, maybe I should take off my shirt more often … free the nip!! (already back in the factory btw)," he posted.

The SpaceX founder meanwhile lost his fight to delay Twitter’s lawsuit against him as a court in Delaware set a trial in October. The judge pointed to the “cloud of uncertainty” over Twitter after Musk backed out of a deal to buy it. Musk's team wanted proceedings to wait until next year.
