The world's richest man Elon Musk's college girlfriend has auctioning off the billionaire's college photos for more than Rs 1.3 crore ($1,65,000). College photos of Tesla CEO Elon Musk and memorabilia from his girlfriend at the time sold for $165,000 at an auction, a Boston auction house said.

According to the news reports, the RR Auction house said it was a collection of never-before-seen photos and memorabilia from Musk's college girlfriend, Jennifer Gwynne.

Musk and Gwynne dated from 1994 to 1995 when they were both studying at the University of Pennsylvania. They split when Musk graduated, moved to California, Gwynne said.

Gwynne said that she got the auction idea after reading a news about an auction of test papers that Musk graded and realized she had far more personal items she could sell, including candid photos, a birthday card from him and a necklace he gave her.

Musk has also changed his Twitter profile photo of one of the photos put on auction.
