Electric car runs out of battery, Army man helps push woman's EV to nearest charging station

An Indian Army personnel is receiving widespread appreciation on social media after helping a woman whose electric vehicle ran out of battery before she could reach a charging station. The incident came to light through a viral Instagram video posted by vlogger Deepika Sharma, who described the soldier's assistance as an unforgettable act of kindness.

According to Sharma, she began her journey with about 60% battery, believing it would be sufficient to reach her destination. However, she misjudged the vehicle's remaining range. As the battery level dropped to 10%, she started searching for a charging station. By the time she found one, the battery had fallen to 2%, leaving the vehicle stranded before it could be plugged in.

Army personnel helped push vehicle to charging station

Sharma said she approached an Indian Army personnel for directions to the nearest charging station. Instead of only guiding her, the soldier helped push the vehicle to the charging point while she remained inside to steer it.

She became emotional while recording the incident and thanked him for helping her despite the intense heat.

Soldier stayed until vehicle could resume journey

Sharma said the army personnel remained with her for nearly 30 minutes until the EV had gained enough charge to continue the journey. She added that he later escorted her out of the area on his scooter to ensure she could drive safely.

Describing the experience as unforgettable, she saluted the Indian Army and acknowledged that running out of battery had been her own mistake.

In the caption accompanying the video, Sharma wrote that "some heroes don't wear capes" and credited the Indian Army personnel, identified as Mr. Narendra, for stepping in without hesitation.

She said he helped push the car to the charging station, stayed until she was safe to continue her journey, and thanked him for his kindness, patience and selfless assistance. Sharma added that the video was a small gesture of gratitude to him and to every member of the Indian Army serving the nation with courage and humanity.

The video has since gone viral, with many users praising the army personnel for his assistance.

One user saluted the Indian Army and said such acts of kindness had become rare. Another praised the soldier's willingness to help while suggesting the driver could have offered to take over pushing the vehicle, even if the offer might have been declined. A third user simply described the army personnel as a gentleman deserving appreciation.
