Elvish Yadav's review of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat

Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat must watch,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat review

"Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat (almost) creates a new category altogether. The actors participating in this obsolete love saga think talking in slow motion, walking in slow motion, acting in slow motion will look vintage. The soundtrack also doesn’t do justice to whatever unfolds on the screen," Vinamra Mathur wrote in the review for The First Post.

Rishabh Suri wrote on Hindustan Times, “Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat tries to pass off absurdity as passion, and Instagram-ready moments as storytelling. If you're looking for a genuine romance or coherent cinema, keep walking.”

“Harshvardhan Rane’s hero is more absurd than collective nonsense of all of the villains of the last decade,” "Trisha Gaur wrote on Koimoi.

“Harshvardhan Rane leads from the front in Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, which starts off interestingly, but eventually fizzles out in massy masala movie territory,” Rachit Gupta wrote on Filmfare.

What is Twitter saying?

One user shared their thoughts on X, writing, “#EkDeewaneKiDeewaniyat Movie Review: Rating – One Time Watchable. Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat tries to be an intense musical love story but ends up feeling a bit overdramatic and predictable. The first half and interval work well, but the second half drags. The songs and a few emotional moments stand out, though some of the dialogues — especially the shayari-style ones — come off as cringe, like Instagram reels. Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s chemistry, however, is quite good (sic)."

Another X user wrote, “#Ekdeewanekideewaniyat This is a good movie, I have seen it, it is a great movie, you must go and watch it. Both the songs and the story of this film are good, you can watch it. Good movie (sic)."

Another tweeted, “#EkDeewaneKiDeewaniyat Music is its USP. Its genuinely good. 2nd half is a slight improvement after a very weak first half. Harsh is decent and so is Sonam but they do overdo sometimes due to very weak writing and direction. Atleast the MUSIC was good (sic)."

Someone wrote, “More serial than cinema. Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat really said 1000 episodes in 2 hours."

The story revolves around Vikramaditya, a passionate artist whose life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Adaa, a free-spirited woman who views love as liberation, not possession. Their love transforms into a turbulent journey of passion, jealousy, and heartbreak—an exploration of how desire can blur the boundaries between devotion and madness.

Set against a poignant backdrop of music and memories, the film delves deep into the dual nature of love—its power to create and its potential to destroy. Harshvardhan Rane essays the role of Vikramaditya, with Sonam Bajwa portraying Adaa Randhawa. The cast also includes Shaad Randhawa as Sanjay, Vikramaditya’s confidant, Sachin Khedekar as Adaa’s father, and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan as Rajkumar Vijender.
