Steps for blocking a website on your computer:
- Select the windows to option from the start menu.
- Now you have to select the notepad by right-clicking.
- Select the option more, then select run as administrator.
- Now select the option of file from the toolbar of notepad. A drop-down menu will appear and click on ‘open’.
- Now, search for “C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc”.
- Select the all files option, proceeding with opening the host file.
- Now you have to go down to the page’s bottom. Visit the last line and make space.
- Paste the URL you want to block from your computer.
- Now, you have to visit the file and save it.
- To perform this operation, you must have administrator access.
Steps for blocking a website on your network:
- To block any website from the browser, visit the browser and select the internet options tools.
- Then, you have to choose the security tab. After that, click on the red sites icon present there.
- Now click on these restricted red sites below the icon.
- Now, you must manually add the website you want to block here. You can add multiple websites too.
- After typing, click ok for all windows, and you are done.
Steps for blocking a website on your phone:
- Visit the settings of your phone. Select General then restrictions.
- Enable the restrictions from the settings. You will also have to set a password for it.
- Now, you have to select the websites. You can choose the adult websites or can only allow access to a few websites.
- The apple will block all the adult content if you choose that.
- However, you can always add any websites by tapping on them.
- Accessing these blocked websites will require the passcode set earlier.
- On any android device, you can install a website blocker (e.g. NoRoot Firewall) to block any spam website. You must install the application and paste the URL you want to block.
