Dulquer Salmaan pens lovely note to wife Amaal Sufiya on wedding anniversary

South superstar Dulquer Salmaan has penned a heartfelt note on Instagram to his wife, Amaal Sufiya, on their 11th wedding anniversary.

The actor posted some pictures, along with an adorable caption, describing the couple's journey from being young to becoming parents to a daughter named Maryam Amerah Salmaan.

Dulquer, the son of Malayalam superstar Mammootty, got married to Amaal Sufiya on December 21, 2011. Many celebrities, including Kajal Aggarwal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Diana Penty, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Mrunal Thakur, wished the couple on their anniversary.


Earlier, in an interview, Dulquer revealed that he had a love-cum-arrange marriage. The actor said that after he returned from the US, he was bumping into Amaal often unknowingly. Dulquer said that on most of his outings, like during any movie show, he noticed the presence of Amaal as well. Dulquer said he felt it was some "celestial sign" and married Amaal.

Dulquer noted that he first asked Amaal on a coffee date and then informed his parents about her. He said that his and Amaal's families met and connected immediately, paving the way for their love-cum-arranged marriage.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Dulquer was recently seen in the blockbuster movie "Sita Ramam." The film was directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and featured Mrunal Thakur as the lead female opposite Dulquer. The actor has also worked in Bollywood projects such as "Chup: Revenge Of The Artist." His next project is Abhilash Joshiy's "King of Kotha."
