DU UG Admissions 2026: CSAS Phase 1 registration begins
According to a notification issued by Delhi University on June 26, eligible candidates can now complete Phase I of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) registration process.Students seeking admission to any undergraduate programme offered by Delhi University must first register through the CSAS portal before participating in the subsequent admission rounds.
The university offers admission to 73 undergraduate programmes and more than 100 BA programme combinations across its 67 affiliated colleges.
Who can apply for Delhi University UG admission 2026?
Candidates are eligible to register if they:- Appeared for CUET-UG 2026.
- Meet the eligibility criteria prescribed for their chosen course.
- Register on the CSAS portal using their CUET-UG 2026 application number.
Delhi University has clarified that admissions will be granted solely on the basis of CUET-UG 2026 scores and programme-specific eligibility requirements.
New feature: Candidate details auto-filled through API Setu
To simplify the admission process and reduce errors, Delhi University has introduced an auto-integration facility using the Government of India's API Setu.After logging in with their CUET-UG 2026 application number, candidates will find key personal details already filled in. These include:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Photograph
- Signature
Delhi University CSAS 2026 registration fee
Applicants must pay a one-time, non-refundable registration fee while completing Phase I.The fee structure is as follows:
- Rs 250: Unreserved, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates
- Rs 100: SC, ST and PwBD candidates
What happens in CSAS Phase II?
After completing the initial registration, candidates will move to the second phase of the admission process.During CSAS Phase II, students will be required to:
- Choose their preferred programme and college combinations.
- Map their CUET-UG test papers with the subjects they studied and passed in Class 12.
- Confirm their course preferences before seat allocation begins.
The university will first verify the subject mapping to determine the courses for which each candidate is eligible.
Only the language and domain-specific CUET papers that correspond to subjects passed in Class 12 will be considered while calculating eligibility and admission scores.
How will Delhi University decide eligibility?
Delhi University has made it clear that programme eligibility will not depend solely on CUET scores.The university will also examine whether candidates have appeared in the appropriate CUET subjects that match the subjects they studied in Class 12.
Once this verification is complete, eligible candidates will be allowed to finalise their programme and college preferences.
When will CSAS Phase II begin?
Delhi University has not yet announced the schedule for Phase II of the admission process.The university said the dates will be released shortly, and candidates should regularly monitor the official admission portal for updates, important announcements and counselling schedules.
Applicants advised to read admission guidelines carefully
The university has urged students to carefully read the Undergraduate Bulletin of Information and the CSAS (UG) 2026-27 guidelines before submitting their applications.Candidates are also advised to keep all required documents ready and regularly check the admission website to avoid missing important deadlines during the counselling and seat allocation process.
