DU CSAS UG 2026 application process begins
The University of Delhi is expected to activate the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for undergraduate admissions on June 27 at 12 PM. The admission process for the 2026-27 academic session will be conducted exclusively through the CSAS portal based on CUET UG 2026 scores.

The university had announced on June 24 that the admission process would begin shortly after the declaration of CUET UG 2026 results. More than 71,000 seats across 79 undergraduate programmes in over 70 affiliated colleges will be offered this year. The new academic session is scheduled to commence on July 21.
Candidates are advised to keep all required documents ready and regularly check the official admission portal for updates regarding the admission schedule.

Seat allotment and upgrade process

Admissions will take place through multiple seat allotment rounds based on CUET UG 2026 merit. After seat allocation, candidates can either freeze the allotted seat or opt for an upgrade to be considered for a higher preference in subsequent rounds.

If seats remain vacant after the regular CSAS rounds, the university may conduct Spot Admission rounds. Candidates who have applied through CSAS but have not secured admission by the announcement of the Spot Round will be eligible to participate.

Before the first Spot Round, admitted candidates will receive a one-time opportunity to opt for an upgrade. Once the Spot Round begins, no further upgrades or withdrawals will be allowed.

Candidates interested in Spot Admission must opt for the facility through their dashboard and submit their preferred programme and college combinations. Seat allocation during Spot Rounds will depend on seat availability, programme-specific merit, order of college preference, category and other applicable admission rules.

Candidates allotted a seat during a Spot Admission round must accept it. Failure to do so will result in the loss of eligibility for admission through CSAS UG 2026.
