A male attendant was left injured after he was mercilessly beaten up by a drunk passenger on an Air India flight . The passenger was arrested by the London police soon after landing.

The incident took place on July 7 aboard a Air India flight from Delhi to London.

The passenger was drinking from a bottle alcohol he had managed to bring on board. When the flight attendant, very politely, asked the passenger to not drink on the flight, the drunk passenger started punching and kicking him.


According to eye witnesses, the unruly passenger kicked him at least six to seven times and even hit him on the chest.

The flight attendant sustained injuries on his forehead and ears.

According to a TOI report, the flight attendant was given first aid at a London hospital and discharged. The flight attendant, in his early thirties, hails from Mumbai. He has been said be very polite and mild-mannered.

The incident was confirmed by an Air India spokesperson.

Though airlines serve alcohol on international flights, they prohibit passengers from drinking from their own bottles due to safety reasons.
