Drunk at duty: MP lady teacher’s wild behaviour at school caught on camera, suspended after video sparks outrage

A woman teacher from Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district has been suspended after she was allegedly found drunk at school and misbehaved with staff and labourers. A video of the incident, which happened on Monday, has gone viral on social media.

The teacher had arrived at an integrated school complex in Singhana village, located in Manawar development block, around 50 km from the district headquarters. According to officials, she was in an inebriated condition and misbehaved with both the school staff and labourers working on the premises.



Assistant Commissioner of the tribal education department, Narottam Varkade, confirmed that the teacher has been suspended and a departmental inquiry has been launched.

“We took note of the viral video and formed a joint team, including the block education officer and block resource coordinator (BRC), to look into the matter,” said Varkade.

After the investigation report was submitted by Manawar BRC Kishore Kumar and his team, the suspension was issued. Officials also confirmed that further disciplinary action will follow after the departmental inquiry.
