Passengers who had to wait for nearly an hour at Kochi Airport due to baggage delay received a musical treat after iconic drummer Sivamani performed A R Rahman's 'Humma Humma' near the luggage belt.

Sheetal Mehta, Executive Director of Nanhi Kali shared the video of the legend performing on her social media account on 'X.' Sivamani performed the song with his mallets and the railings of the conveyor belt.

"It’s been 40 minutes since we landed at Kochi airport and we are still waiting for our bags to come out. Instead of getting agitated we are getting entertained by a fellow passenger," said Mehta in the caption of the post where she shared the video.

The video has already garnered over 500k views since it was shared online.

Manoj Kumar, founder of Naandi foundation, who was also at the airport due to the delay said "I would be very happy to get my luggage late if the legendary Sivamani were to enthrall like he did to lucky Sheetal and her Co-passengers. More power to him as we need more such public places."

While agitated passengers have been making headlines for their behavior due to delays, many on social media claimed that they wouldn't mind this delay if they could experience Sivamani's performance.

Flight crisis in North India:
The dense fog that blanketed North India in recent days has caused huge disruptions, leading to delays and cancellations of over 600 flights.

To mitigate the situation in the near future, the DGCA issued SOPs for airlines on better communication and facilitation of passengers to minimise discomfort in view of flight cancellations and delays due to adverse weather.

"It is my earnest request to all travellers to bear with us during this difficult period. All stakeholders are trying their best to minimize passenger inconvenience. Incidences of unruly behaviour amidst this are unacceptable, and will be dealt with strongly in line with the existing legal provisions," Scindia said in a post on 'X'.
