As per a report, the Bengaluru's traffic police has introduced an Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) in the city to detect traffic violations and issue challans automatically.

A state-of-the-art technological system is currently present at 50 significant traffic intersections in the nation's IT capital. The ITMS system consists of 250 ANPR cameras (automatic number plate recognition) and 80 RLVD cameras (red light violation detection).
