Drishyam 2, the much-talked-about and eagerly anticipated sequel, was released a few weeks ago, and it has proven to be unstoppable at the box office since then.

The film has enjoyed such an incredible trend that its box office march has continued despite new releases hitting theatres. However, the film will face stiff competition in the form of Avatar 2, from this Friday.

Drishyam 2, directed by Abhishek Pathak, debuted in theatres on November 18 with a budget of Rs 15.38 crore. The film gradually broke records at the box office collection. It is finally slowing down, but it continues to lead the race.


'Drishyam 2' saw a drop in box office collections, earning approximately Rs 1.45 crore on its 28th day on December 15. According to trade reports, the film has earned a total of Rs 215.81 crore at the domestic box office.

The advance booking reports and early reviews for 'Avatar: The Way of Water' indicate that it is a big success in the making, with the advance booking status expected to cross Rs 40-45 crore net.
