Director Raaj Shaandilyaa revealed that Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday are going to collaborate for the first time in Dream Girl 2. He added that 95% of the film's shooting had already been completed.

Raaj Shaandilya’s upcoming film Dream Girl 2, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, has finished 95 per cent of its filming. In a recent interview with the media, the director revealed that Dream Girl 2, one of the most anticipated movies of the year, has an entirely different plot from the first. He went on to say that while the film may feature one or two characters from the original, the rest is entirely new.

Shaandilyaa further emphasizes that Dream Girl 2 promises twice as much "fun and laughter." He added that because there are so many people in the movie, it's difficult to sum everything up in a single sentence.

He claimed that Dream Girl 2 is not a continuation of the first film's plot; rather, it is an entirely new story that belongs to the same series.

The event was graced by actors like Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Ayushmann Khurrana, Geeta Kapoor, and Remo D’Souza, who applauded the change agents for their incredible work in respective fields. The felicitation was based on the contribution of various individuals in different fields/categories and have been selected by an internal panel of the publishing house. Speaking on the pairing of Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, he stated that this is the first time the two actors have worked together on a film. He explained that their goal was to introduce a "fresh pair" that had never been tried before. Additionally, he said, Ananya seems really fresh on television and has never performed a part like this.

Furthermore, Raaj lauded Ayushmann Khurrana, referring to him as a "director's actor" and admitting that the two of them have grown so close that whenever he creates a script, he pitches it to Ayushmann first before he pitches it to anybody else.

Nushratt Bharuccha and Ayushmann Khurrana were featured in the first instalment, which was a huge hit.

However, the "Dream Girl" sequel also boasts a lot of fresh elements and promises a lot more. Its cast ensemble has several excellent performers, including Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Rajpal Yadav, and Ananya Panday.
