Dr. Pramesh retweeted the suggestion, writing, "A thread that demonstrates how life-threatening social media can be... Please don't follow random 'influencers' who don't have true science to back them beyond 'Trust me, bro'."
"Zero true science to back this. Don't fall for influencers without a science background," the Tata Memorial Hospital board member added in a separate post.
Senior cardiologist Dr. Deepak Krishnamurthy of Bengaluru was another medical professional who disregarded the influencer's recommendations.
The physician was reacting to a tweet made by Nithin Kamath on Monday in which he disclosed that he had experienced a "mild stroke" approximately six weeks prior and cited a number of potential causes, including anxiety, lack of sleep, tiredness, dehydration, and overtraining.
The Zerodha boss said that his doctor advised him to take some time off to rest and decompress. The CEO is presently relaxing and could need up to six months to fully recover.
"The doctor said you need to know when you need to shift the gears down a bit," Kamath said.
