Don 3 row: How much compensation did Ranveer Singh allegedly offer & why is film body CINTAA chief praising him?
Poonam Dhillon has backed actor Ranveer Singh in the Don 3 controversy. She praised his professional conduct and his right to creative choices. Singh reportedly offered a settlement to Excel Entertainment. Dhillon believes actors should have a voi...

According to Variety, Singh reportedly proposed a settlement that included an immediate compensation payment of Rs 10 crore (around $1 million), along with a 25% reduction in his fee for any future project with Excel Entertainment.
'He wouldn't deliberately harm anyone'
Speaking to Free Press Journal, Dhillon said she was confident Singh would not intentionally hurt anyone's interests. She pointed out that the actor shares a strong relationship with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment and may have had genuine reasons for stepping away from the project.
Praise for compensation offer
Dhillon also lauded Singh for reportedly offering compensation for losses incurred and returning his signing amount. According to her, not every actor takes responsibility in such situations, making his gesture noteworthy.
When asked whether actors should be involved in creative decisions, Dhillon strongly supported the idea. She said lead actors have a stake in a film's success or failure and should be allowed to contribute positively to scripts, casting and other creative aspects of a project.
How the 'Don 3' dispute began
The controversy began after Singh reportedly exited Don 3 over creative differences, allegedly causing losses of Rs 40–45 crore to the producers. The matter escalated when FWICE issued a non-cooperation directive against him after being approached by the producers.
The directive was later withdrawn after Singh's legal team argued that the dispute did not fall under FWICE's jurisdiction. Reports now suggest that the Producers Guild of India will mediate between the two parties in an effort to resolve the matter.
