The screenshots, first widely shared on X by user Ravi Handa, show the portal's complaint subcategory options listed under sections covering shelterless animals, dead animals, and door-to-door garbage collection. Handa wrote alongside his post: "I love how real the Jaipur Nagar Nigam website is. Yes. This is the official website."
'Dog Pagal Ho Gaya Hai Pakadwana Hai': What the Portal Actually Says
Under the shelterless animal category, the dropdown options read: Dog bahut ho gaye hai, Monkey bahut ho gaye hai, Pig bahut ho gaye hai, Dog pagal ho gaya hai pakadwana hai, and Other.
The dead animal section lists: Janwar mar gaya hai, Cow mar gayi hai, Bull mar gaya hai, Horse mar gaya hai, Gaaye ka bachcha mar gaya hai, and Other.
The garbage collection section goes further, listing complaints including Gaadi nahi aa rahi hai, Gaadi samay per nahi aati hai, Gaadi per gana nahi bajta hai, Gaadi nahi rukti hai teji se chali jati hai, Helper Nahi Aata Hai, Gaadi Wala Paise Mangta Hai, and Helper Kachara Nahi Uthata Hai.

Each option describes a real civic problem in the exact words a resident might use to describe it to a neighbour, not to a government official.
'Best UI for Most Citizens': What the Internet Said
The reaction online has been largely positive, with users praising the portal for prioritising accessibility over formality.
One user had a more humorous take, writing: "Hahah.. Aadmi bahut ho gaye hai?"
Jaipur Nagar Nigam's portal takes a different approach entirely. By describing complaints in the language residents actually use, the portal removes the translation step between what a person wants to report and what they need to type or select. A resident does not need to know the official term for a garbage truck that does not stop. They only need to find: Gaadi nahi rukti hai teji se chali jati hai.
The portal also covers a wide range of civic issues beyond animals and garbage, including road cleaning, debris removal, and vacant plot waste, all listed in the same conversational register.
Whether by design or by accident, Jaipur Nagar Nigam appears to have built something the internet did not expect from a municipal body: a complaint system that feels like it was written for the people filing the complaints.
