Does Rishab Shetty refuse to work with Rashmika Mandanna? What you need to know

Kantara director Rishab Shetty earned immense stardom after his Kannada flick became a mega-blockbuster and ruled the box office for many weeks. Following its success in theatres, the film is all set for its OTT release, and those who couldn't watch the film in theatres must be looking forward to it. The movie has emerged as one of the best films ever made in the country and has been declared a huge success, both commercially and critically. While Kantara remains in the spotlight, an old interview in which Rishab Shetty made fun of Rashmika Mandanna has gone viral.

In an interview with Gulte dot com, he was asked who he'd like to work with out of Rashmika Mandanna, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sai Pallavi and Keerthy Suresh. The Kantara director and actor said he chose his actors after finishing his screenplay. The actor said, "I decide my actors once I finish my script. I prefer working with newcomers as they come with no barriers. These actors, I don’t like them (mai actors ko script likhne ke baad choose karta hoon, aur mujhe ‘is’ type ke actress, I don’t like them)."

While praising Sai Pallavi and Samantha's work, he said, 'I like their work.' He also called them true artists. Interestingly, Rishab did not mention Rashmika Mandanna's name.


Recently, Rashmika said in an interview with Curly Tales that acting was not her first choice.
