A docu-drama series revolving around the life of Alexander the Great is anticipated to hit Netflix. Titled, "Alexander The Great", it is being developed by Lion Television.

The upcoming series - "Alexander The Great" - which blends documentary and drama, is being developed for Netflix by Lion Television, a production company founded by Nick Catliff and Richard Bradley. Lion Television has worked on a variety of notable projects in the past, such as Age of Empires IV, Horrible Histories, Saving Venice, and Stolen - Catching the Art Thieves.
The series, as What's On Netflix reported, is slated for release on Netflix in 2023. However, the report added that the streaming giant has refused to comment on the release date, so it might just be a speculation for now.
Moreover, it is anticipated that the new hybrid docu-drama series on Alexander the Great will be directed by Hugh Ballantyne.
The series began production in Morocco in September 2022, with a projected completion date in late spring of 2023. As per a report by Deadline, the series has been in production since the previous summer, and a crew of over 100 individuals has been intermittently filming in Morocco for the project.
