"Pakistanis are loving Dhurandhar like anything. Maybe they will give Nishan e Pakistan to Aditya Dhar, said another.

"And yet, some people were labeling this film as propaganda," another user commented as many people crticised the movie after the release. Bilawal Bhutto's grand entry on 'FA9LA' track

In December, a video went viral which shows Pakistan's former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received a grand welcome with Dhurandhar's viral track 'FA9LA'. The clip shows Bilawal Bhutto being welcomed on stage as the famous 'FA9LA' plays in the background. The song in the movie features film's most talked-about characters, Rehman Dakait -- an infamous don – played by Akshaye Khanna. Dhurandhar saw massive popularity in Pakistan despite the country and the six Gulf nations banning it, citing 'anti-Pakistan narrative'.

The ban on Dhurandhar by Pakistan and some Gulf nations has not affected its run at the box office. The popularity has grown so much so that the Indian espionage thriller, which deals with the 1999 Kandahar hijacking, the Mumbai 26/11 attacks and also the Lyari gang wars, has gone on to become the most pirated movie in Pakistan, beating Rajinikanth's 2.0 and Shah Rukh Khan's Raees.
