Interestingly, director Aditya Dhar is reportedly not fully on board with turning Dhurandhar into a long-running franchise. Known for experimenting with fresh narratives, Dhar is said to prefer challenging himself with new projects rather than repeating the same formula, which he reportedly finds “plainly boring.”
The report highlights that Dhurandhar became a hit precisely because it broke away from the typical templates seen in the YRF Spy Universe and mainstream South Indian action films—something Dhar may not want to compromise by following trends he has now disrupted.
Meanwhile, Aditya Dhar has signed a multi-project deal with the studio and is already eyeing his next big venture. While details remain under wraps, he is reportedly keen to reunite with Ranveer Singh for a large-scale mythological action adventure, with scripting likely to begin by the end of this year.
