The phenomenon that was Dhurandhar shows no signs of slowing down. The 2025 spy thriller not only dominated the box office but rewrote record books, emerging as the highest-grossing Indian film ever made.

Led by Ranveer Singh and featuring Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal, the film earned over ₹830 crore in India and crossed the ₹1,300-crore mark globally. Even after exiting theatres and debuting on OTT platforms, audience interest around the franchise has remained sky-high.

Now, the excitement has surged once again.


On Monday, Ranveer Singh sent fans into overdrive with a mysterious Instagram post that read simply, “Tomorrow 12:12.” The vague message instantly triggered speculation that the first teaser of Dhurandhar 2 could arrive on February 3.

Director Aditya Dhar further amplified the buzz by sharing the exact same time stamp on his Instagram Stories. The synchronized posts have convinced fans that an official announcement—or a teaser reveal—is imminent, with social media flooded by countdowns and theories.

What the sequel is expected to explore

Dhurandhar 2 is set to continue the story of Hamza Ali Mazhari, an Indian intelligence operative operating deep within Pakistan’s criminal ecosystem. In the first film, Hamza dismantles key terror networks, eliminates Rehman Dakait, and strategically embeds himself among powerful political players, including Jameel Jamali. His marriage to Jamali’s daughter, Yalina, further strengthens his cover.

The sequel is expected to raise the conflict several notches. Hamza’s next target is said to be Major Iqbal—also known as Bade Sahab—a high-ranking ISI strategist believed to be behind multiple attacks against India. The identity of the actor playing Bade Sahab remains under wraps, adding another layer of intrigue for fans.

Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, and if the teaser does drop tomorrow, the countdown to the next chapter officially begins.
