Dhoni Entertainment to enter Tamil film industry, plans a feature film

'Dhoni Entertainment', the production house owned by India captain MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi is marking its foray into Tamil film production.

Since the Chennai Super Kings skipper is accepted by Tamil people as one of their own, the first movie from his production house will be in Tamil. Apart from this, the company has already produced a documentary, The Roar of the Lion, based on the IPL matches played by Chennai Super Kings.

Dhoni Entertainment has also produced 'Women’s Day Out', a short film on spreading cancer awareness.


MSD announced his retirement from international cricket in 2018, and the production house is something the power couple is willing to take seriously in the future.

The company has informed us that they would be exploring all languages for making meaningful films across multiple genres. They have displayed interest in science fiction, drama, suspense thrillers, crime, and comedy.

Based on this idea, the couple have engaged Ramesh Thamilmani to direct their first Tamil film. Sakshi writes the concept. Ramesh, for his part, has informed us that he is delighted to have joined the team and liked the idea Sakshi conjured from the start. It is now left to him to make this concept into a good feature film.
