Dharmapuri Arvind makes stunning prediction on Revanth Reddy, says he could become BJP’s next Suvendu Adhikari
Telangana politics is abuzz as BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind hinted at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy potentially switching to the BJP, drawing parallels with Suvendu Adhikari. This speculation follows Prime Minister Modi's cryptic remark to Reddy, addin...

Arvind compares Revanth Reddy with Suvendu Adhikari
Dharmapuri Arvind said the Congress leadership made a major political error by appointing Revanth Reddy as Telangana chief minister while overlooking several senior Congress leaders who had spent decades in the party. The BJP MP then drew parallels with Suvendu Adhikari, who left the Trinamool Congress and later emerged as one of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s strongest political rivals after joining the BJP.
Arvind suggested that a similar political twist could unfold in Telangana in the coming years.
BJP predicts major defeat for Congress in Telangana
The Nizamabad MP also predicted a crushing defeat for the Congress in the next Telangana Assembly elections."Congress will face an unprecedented defeat in 2028-29 here in Telangana. They lost badly in 1985 and in 1994. In 2028-29, under the leadership of Revanth Reddy, the Congress party is going to face a disastrous defeat," Dharmapuri Arvind said.
His remarks added fuel to an already heated political atmosphere in the state, where the BJP and Congress have intensified attacks against each other ahead of the expected Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections later this year.
PM Modi’s Hyderabad comment adds to speculation
ind’s statement gained wider attention because it followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s much-discussed interaction with Revanth Reddy during a public programme in Hyderabad. The Prime Minister had said: "Aap jahan pahunchna chahte hain, nahi pahunch payenge... achha hai ki mere se hi judo" (You may not reach where you want to reach... you should join me").
The Telangana chief minister, who was present on stage during the exchange, reacted with a smile but did not respond publicly.
Political observers quickly began speculating whether the comment carried a deeper political message or was simply a light-hearted remark made during the event.
‘Something is brewing’: Arvind
Referring to the Prime Minister’s statement, Dharmapuri Arvind said he himself was unsure whether there was any larger political development taking shape behind the scenes."I don't know what that means exactly, as I am just a ground-level worker in the BJP. I'm not sure if there is a political link there. I really don't know if something is brewing, something similar to what Suvendu Adhikari did".
Even while expressing uncertainty, the BJP MP claimed Telangana politics could witness intense political drama over the next two years.
He further asserted that the BJP would eventually come to power in the state, setting the stage for a sharper political confrontation between the saffron party and the ruling Congress government.
