Amid dense fog reducing visibility in the national capital, IndiGo said, "Delhi and Hindon (Airport) continue to remain wrapped in chilly winter air and lingering fog this morning. The fluctuating visibility has led to changes in flight schedules, and operations may be slower than usual as conditions evolve. Our teams on-ground are prioritising safety and compliance with visibility requirements. Once the weather settles, operations will gradually stabilise, and flights will depart as planned. Orange alert in national capital
Delhi is set for another difficult start to the week as the India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for very dense fog on Monday, with temperatures expected to remain chilly and visibility severely affected across the national capital. The weather warning comes as pollution levels continue to remain dangerously high.The national capital’s air quality deteriorated to the ‘severe’ category on Monday, with the AQI crossing 400, according to the CPCB’s Sameer app.
The weather department expects temperatures on Monday to hover around 22°C during the day and fall to nearly 7°C at night.
