Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Blu-ray release date confirmed; OTT debut likely soon

The Blu-ray and DVD release date for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle has officially been confirmed, giving fans a chance to experience the film from the comfort of their homes. The announcement also signals that an OTT release could follow shortly after.

According to Anime Updates, the Blu-ray/DVD edition is scheduled to arrive on July 29. While there has been no official confirmation regarding its streaming debut, anime films typically make their way to digital platforms soon after their physical release. If the usual pattern holds, Infinity Castle could land on OTT services either on the same day or in the weeks following.

The film, which serves as the first installment in the highly anticipated Infinity Castle trilogy, originally hit theatres in July last year. It wrapped up its theatrical run on April 9 after a lengthy and successful run. Despite strong numbers, it did not surpass the record-breaking performance of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, which remains the highest-grossing anime film of all time. Infinity Castle concluded its run with an impressive $271.1 million (¥40.21 billion) in Japan, drawing over 27.4 million admissions.


Set in a world where demon slayers wield swords to battle supernatural threats, the story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who joins the Demon Slayer Corps after his family is massacred. His sister, Nezuko Kamado, survives but is transformed into a demon, adding emotional weight to his journey.

Infinity Castle marks the beginning of the endgame arc, pushing the narrative toward its climax. The film sees Tanjiro, Nezuko, and the Hashira enter the shifting and perilous Infinity Castle to confront the Upper Rank demons and ultimately face Muzan Kibutsuji. Known for its intense storytelling and high-stakes battles, the arc has been adapted on a grand cinematic scale, blending action with emotional depth.
