Delhi weather tomorrow: Will rain return to NCR? Check IMD forecast, temperature update

Delhi is likely to witness generally cloudy skies with light rain or drizzle on Saturday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather department has also forecast strong surface winds along with very light to light rainfall during the forenoon and afternoon, while light rain is expected during the evening and night.

The capital remained under cloudy skies with spells of light rain and drizzle on Friday, keeping temperatures below normal. The maximum temperature settled at 34.6 degrees Celsius, slightly lower than the seasonal average.

Delhi weather forecast for July 25: Light rain, winds expected

The IMD has predicted cloudy conditions across Delhi-NCR on Saturday with chances of light rain or drizzle. Strong surface winds may accompany rainfall during the day, while similar conditions are likely to continue during the evening and night.


Delhi received 0.5 mm rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday. Palam recorded 0.6 mm rainfall, Lodhi Road 0.8 mm, Ridge 3.6 mm, while Ayanagar received no rainfall during this period.

Between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm, Safdarjung recorded 0.6 mm rainfall, Palam received 3.3 mm, Lodhi Road 0.5 mm, Ridge reported trace rainfall and Ayanagar recorded 0.3 mm.

Delhi temperature update: Maximum settles at 34.6°C

The maximum temperature across Delhi-NCR ranged between 32.9 degrees Celsius and 34.6 degrees Celsius.

Palam recorded the lowest maximum temperature at 32.9 degrees Celsius, which was two degrees below normal. Lodhi Road, Ridge and Ayanagar recorded 33.3 degrees Celsius each, with temperatures remaining below normal by 0.7 degrees, 0.9 degrees and 1.7 degrees, respectively.

The minimum temperature across the city varied between 23.1 degrees Celsius and 27.3 degrees Celsius. Safdarjung recorded 27.3 degrees Celsius, which was normal for the season.

Palam recorded 25 degrees Celsius, Lodhi Road 26.8 degrees Celsius, Ridge 23.1 degrees Celsius and Ayanagar 26.8 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature at Palam and Ridge was below normal by 1.9 degrees and 3.2 degrees, while Lodhi Road and Ayanagar recorded temperatures slightly above normal.

Delhi AQI remains satisfactory

Delhi's air quality continued to remain in the "satisfactory" category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 70 on Friday evening, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

As per the CPCB classification, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered "good", 51 to 100 is "satisfactory", 101 to 200 is "moderate", 201 to 300 is "poor", 301 to 400 is "very poor" and 401 to 500 falls under the "severe" category.
