Delhi temperature: When will it rain in Noida, Gurgaon? IMD shares latest update on heatwave relief and weather forecast for the next few days

Residents across Delhi-NCR are likely to experience intense heatwave conditions over the next couple of days. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 45°C on Wednesday, while the minimum may stay close to 28°C, as per the Meteorological Department.

The department has issued a clear warning for a “heatwave.” Strong surface winds are also expected during the afternoon and evening. Humidity levels on May 27 are forecast to vary between 40 per cent at the highest and 25 per cent at the lowest.

Authorities have cautioned that the heatwave may be accompanied by strong, hot winds later in the day. People are advised to stay indoors during peak afternoon hours, remain hydrated, and take necessary measures to avoid direct exposure to sunlight.

Relief Likely from May 28

Weather conditions are expected to shift starting May 28. The maximum temperature may dip slightly to around 43°C, while the minimum is likely to hover near 29°C.

The Meteorological Department has predicted “thunderstorms with rain” for the day. Light to very light rainfall is expected during the afternoon and evening, along with strong winds and squalls reaching speeds of 50–60 km/h.

Sharp Temperature Drop Expected on May 29
A noticeable change in weather is anticipated on May 29. The maximum temperature could drop significantly to around 36°C, while the minimum may settle at approximately 26°C.

An alert has been issued for thunderstorms accompanied by rain. The department has also indicated the possibility of light rainfall later in the day.

Rain and Cloudy Skies to Persist Till May 31

The pattern of “thunderstorms with rain” is expected to continue on May 30 and 31. During this period, maximum temperatures are likely to remain between 35°C and 36°C, while minimum temperatures may range from 25°C to 26°C.

Although no specific warning has been issued for these two days, overcast skies and light rainfall are likely to continue.

Conditions to Normalise by June 1

From June 1 onwards, weather conditions are expected to stabilise. The maximum temperature may rise to around 37°C, with the minimum hovering near 27°C.

The day is likely to remain partly cloudy, and no specific weather warning has been issued by the Meteorological Department.
