Delhi weather: Rains to continue in national capital; Check forecast for the week

The India Meteorological Department is expecting the national capital to receive rains for the week, accompanied with thunderstorms.

Delhi is expected to experience wet and humid conditions throughout the week. On July 14, the city will see a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain, with temperatures ranging between 24°C and 34°C. From July 15 to 18, thunderstorms with rain are likely each day, while minimum temperatures will hover around 25°C and maximums between 32°C and 34°C. Rain or thundershowers are predicted on July 19 and 20, with daytime highs touching 35°C. Humidity levels will remain high across the week, with maximum relative humidity ranging from 85% to 100% and minimum around 60% to 70%. No weather warnings have been issued for the forecast period.

Meteorologists attributed the sustained rainfall to a cyclonic circulation positioned over northern Haryana and neighbouring areas. The weather system is enhancing moisture inflow and promoting cloud formation across Delhi and the adjoining NCR districts.


The IMD’s regional centre in Chandigarh has issued a yellow alert for parts of NCR, including Gurugram, Faridabad, Rewari, Mewat, and Palwal, cautioning residents to stay updated on local forecasts.
