Delhi University will soon start its admission process and also launch the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for students to begin the process of undergraduate admissions.

DU Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh told PTI, " Delhi University will "very soon" launch the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for the aspirants to fill up applications for admission in undergraduate courses."

It should be noted that he did not provide any tentative date for the launch of the portal.

This year DU is taking admission on the basis of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores.

Earlier in mid-August, the varsity notified that it will soon launch its application process for admission to undergraduate programmes for the new academic session and asked the candidates to ensure that their documents and certificates are ready by August 31.

The CUET-UG concluded on Tuesday.

CUET-UG was delayed due to technical glitches to a last-minute change in the exam centres and uninformed changes in the exam dates to admit cards mentioning past dates and resulted in a delay in admission to the DU.

The CUET is the common gateway for undergraduate admissions in all central universities. With 14.9 lakh registrations, it has surpassed the JEE-Main's average registration of nine lakh and became the second biggest entrance exam in the country.
