Delhi tourists were fined by the Kullu police for causing trouble inside the Atal Tunnel on March 23. The police took action after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

In the video, some tourists were seen stepping out of their vehicles, removing their shirts, doing push-ups, and dancing to loud music inside the tunnel. The incident happened when traffic was slow due to a marathon event in nearby Sissu, which caused congestion and limited parking space.

The Delhi tourist’s vehicle was fined Rs 1,500 under Sections 177 and 179 of the Motor Vehicles Act for breaking traffic rules.

A police officer stated that the security staff at the Atal Tunnel have been instructed to remain vigilant. Additionally, regular patrolling inside the tunnel has been ordered to prevent such incidents in the future.
