Delhi soon to have India's first Ring Metro; Tentative launch date revealed

By 2024, the corridor between Majlis Park and Maujpur will be completed. On this line, there will be eight stations altogether. A triple-decker metro will be used. A flyover and a road will be located below the metro line. There are already 36 metro stations along with the ring road.

The Majlis Park, Maujpur corridor will be finished by 2024. This will be the only ring metro corridor in the nation. With a total length of 71.15 kilometres, it will additionally be the longest. The route between Majlis Park and Maujpur will be prepared. However, the network between north, south, east, and west Delhi will be completed by the 12.55 km long track.

Passengers from Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Bahadurgarh will find it simpler to travel thanks to the ring road. Additionally, getting to airports and train stations will be much simpler for Delhi residents.


On the ring road line, there will be eleven interchange metro stations: Rajouri Garden, Punjabi Bagh west, Azadpur, Netaji Subhash Place, Delhi Hatt, INA, Lajpat Nagar, Mayur Vihar Phase 1, Anand Vihar ISBT, Durgabai Deshmukh marg, Karkardooma, and Welcome Station.

The fourth segment of the Delhi Metro is 30 months behind schedule. This is due to the DMRC's failure to obtain permission to chop 2500 trees. The cost of the project has also gone up by 15%. All of the work will be finished by June 2024. 58 percent of the work has already been finished.
