As per the new assessment guidelines, students of classes 3-8 will be assessed for Happiness and Deshbhakti curricula, while students of Class 9 and Class 11 will be assessed for Deshbhakti and Entrepreneurship Mindset Curricula. Students of Class 11 will have an additional criterion for assessment, which is their participation in Business Blasters.
The amendment to the assessment criteria has been made by the Kejriwal Government so that the schools can assess the students not just on their knowledge of the main courses but also on other competencies.
This assessment criteria can help in the students' social, emotional, and ethical growth as well as their cognitive abilities. In addition, students will also get distinctive project works to strengthen their analytical ability and critical thinking. This is an effort to eliminate the rote learning method that adds redundant stress on the students.
Furthermore, they will also prepare a summary of the analysis of class-wise and subject-wise results. This will help in academic enrichment and act as remedial purposes. Most importantly, they will hold the exams to minimize the incidents of cheating, victimization and favouritism.
The new assessment guidelines also state that the mid-term exams will be held in September/October and Common Annual School Examination will be conducted in February/March.
