In a unique initiative to promote road safety and adherence to traffic regulations, the Delhi Police has taken inspiration from Neeraj Chopra's remarkable victory in the men's javelin event at the World Athletics Championships. Through a creative post on social media platform X, the police encourage the public to follow Chopra's example. The post reads, "Be like Neeraj Chopra. Win hearts, not challans."

The post further emphasizes, "To drivers and riders, you are not Neeraj's javelin, and crossing the white lines will not get you points or medals."

The response to this innovative approach has been notable, with users suggesting a focus on prioritizing lane driving to enhance road safety.

Chopra,an Olympic champion, made history again by winning India's first-ever gold medal in the World Athletics Championships. A mammoth 88.17 meter effort in the men's javelin throw final was enough to secure top honours.

With this victory, Neeraj Chopra joins an elite league, becoming only the second Indian athlete — following in the footsteps of shooter Abhinav Bindra — to hold both the titles of Olympic and World Championships champion. At the age of 23, Bindra clinched the World Championships title, and at 25, he secured the prestigious Olympics gold.
