Delhi Nursery admission 2024 first list out tomorrow. Check process and other details here

The Directorate of Education, Delhi is scheduled to release the first merit list for admission to Pre-School (Nursery), Pre-Primary (KG), and Class 1 at private, unaided schools on January 12, 2024.

Once the first admission list is released, schools will be required to respond to parental queries from January 13 to January 22, according to the official notification.

If there's a tie among applicants, a random draw will be held. This draw can be done using a computer or slips, and parents will be present during the process. The entire event will be recorded on video, and the school will keep the recorded footage.


Important Dates:
First list of selected children- January 12, 2024
Window to solve queries- January 13 to 22, 2024
Second list- January 29, 2024
Second window to solve queries- January 31 to February 06, 2024
Closure of Admission Process- March 08, 2024

Following the announcement of the first allotment list, parents can check the allotment status of their ward on the official website at edudel.nic.in and the respective websites of the schools.

Age limit for admission:
Pre-School (Nursery)- Below 4 years
Pre-Primary (KG)- Below 5 years
For first lass- Below 06 years

Process and criteria for selection:
A point system is used in the selection process to allocate particular marks to different criteria. Since hand measurements may not be accurate, most schools advise utilizing Google Maps to calculate distances accurately.

The selection process does not take the parents' financial situation, employment, or educational background into account.

Alumni ties and sibling relationships are additional requirements. A girl child, a firstborn, or a single parent may also get points at some schools.
