Delhi, Noida to get light rain soon
The IMD has predicted rain and thunderstorms between January 31 and February 2 for Delhi. Saturday may begin with moderate fog at many places and dense fog at isolated locations, while skies are likely to turn generally cloudy towards the afternoon and evening, IMD said."There is also a possibility of a spell of very light rain accompanied by thunderstorm activity, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph during the night," IMD added.
Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram are also likely to get one or two spells of rain on February 1, the IMD has predicted. For January 31, there is a possibility of fog or Mist would during early morning hours, the IMD said. Gurugram may see partly cloudy skies Saturday, the weather office has said.

Temperatures across Delhi-NCR normal: IMD
Station-wise data showed that day temperatures across Delhi-NCR Thursday remained below normal, with Palam recording the sharpest departure with maximum temperatures ranging between 15.3°C and 18.5°C, up to 6.8 degrees below normal in some areas. Safdarjung recorded a marginal dip in minimum temperature compared to the previous day, while Palam and Ayanagar emerged as the cooler pockets during the day. Under the influence of western disturbance, the weather in northwest India is likely to be impacted from February 2, 2026, the IMD said in its latest weather bulletin.
-Madhya Pradesh: Isolated light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is very likely on February 1 and 2.
-Chhattisgarh: Isolated light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is likely on February 2.

-A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from the night of January 30, 2026. Under its influence:
-Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh: Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning likely on February 1.
-Uttarakhand: Rainfall/snowfall with thunderstorms and lightning likely on February 1 and 2.
-Rajasthan: Isolated light rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning likely during January 31 to February 3.
-Ground frost conditions are likely to prevail over Uttarakhand on January 29 and 30
