Delhi rain time forecast
According to the IMD forecast, there are chances of thundery development towards late evening due to a prevailing western disturbance. By Thursday, the western disturbance is expected to withdraw and the mercury will start rising again, the IMD said.ALSO READ: Uttar Pradesh weather update
"Partly cloudy sky. Possibility of thundery development towards evening/night. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are likely to be in the range of 34°C to 36°C and 20°C to 22°C respectively," the IMD's weather bulletin for Delhi read.
Delhi temperature to rise
The weather office expects that there might be a gradual rise in temperature from Thursday onwards, starting at 35-37°C and touching 40°C by Sunday. While Safdarjung recorded 4.6 mm rainfall till 8.30 am, Palam logged trace rainfall till 8.30 am, but 9.8 mm till 5.30 pm. The Ridge got 11.9 mm till 8.30 am. Najafgarh logged 0.5 mm till 8.30 am, and 6.5 mm in the next nine hours.Noida rain alert
The IMD has forecast partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers in Noida for Wednesday, May 6, 2026 for the second day in a row. On Tuesday night, the city saw intense brief spell of rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and strong gusty winds. Noida is likely to see rain again on May 10 and 11, 2026.Gurugram weather update
Several parts of Gurugram witnessed rain, thunderstorms and spells of hail on Tuesday afternoon as the minimum temperature plunged 7 degrees below normal. “Light to moderate rain is likely at isolated places in Haryana on May 6, 10 and 11, along with thunderstorm and lightning accompanied by gusty winds (30-40 kmph) at isolated locations on May 6. Similar activity with stronger winds (40-50 kmph) is expected around May 10 and 11," the IMD's latest weather forecast read. The department also said maximum temperatures are likely to rise by 4 to 6°C over the next five days, even as intermittent weather activity continues.Ghaziabad rain update
There are chances of one or two spells of rain with thunderstorms in Ghaziabad today, the IMD said, predicting partly cloudy skies. No rain forecast has been made till May 9.
