Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon weather today (September 6): IMD expects rain in Delhi, Noida and Gurugram; check forecast

Delhi is bracing for another spell of heavy rain today after two days of intense showers. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a rainfall alert on Sunday, September 6, for the national capital and several neighbouring states.

The prevailing weather conditions are being influenced by multiple atmospheric systems. A well-marked low-pressure area over northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining southwest Uttar Pradesh, along with the monsoon trough and other weather systems, is supporting rainfall and thunderstorms over Delhi-NCR.

The fresh spell of rain could bring further relief from the recent heat but may also lead to waterlogging and traffic disruptions in parts of the city. Residents have been advised to stay alert as weather conditions remain unsettled.

Noida weather forecast:

Noida is likely to see partly cloudy skies through September 11, with temperatures remaining in the mid-30s. On September 6, the city may receive one or two spells of rain or thundershowers, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 34°C.

From September 7 onwards, the maximum temperature is likely to remain around 34-35°C, while minimum temperatures could range between 25°C and 27°C. The IMD has issued no warning for Noida during the forecast period.
