Delhi is likely to experience moderate fog at many places with dense fog at isolated places during morning hours today
The India Meteorological Department of India (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Delhi today and has predicted partly cloudy skies today. Delhi is likely to experience moderate fog at many places with dense fog at isolated places during morning hours, the IMD said. The weather department has forecast moderate fog on Monday with maximum and minimum temperature expected to hover around 21 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh's Noida, fog or mist is likely to occur during morning hours, the IMD has said with maximum and minimum temperature expected to hover around 19 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius, respectively. Gurugram is likely to witness partly cloudy sky today and there are no chances of fog in the city. The maximum and minimum temperature expected to hover around 17 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius, respectively. Fog or mist is likely to occur during morning hours in Ghaziabad with maximum and minimum temperature expected to hover around 17 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius, respectively. The IMD has predicted partly cloudy skies for Faridabad in Haryana with maximum and minimum temperature expected to hover around 17 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius, respectively.

No warnings has been issued for Delhi for the upcoming days. Delhi is likely to witness mainly clear sky on December 23, Tuesday. Shallow fog is likely at many places, with moderate fog at a few places, during the morning hours in the national capital. Delhi AQI remains severe

The residents of Delhi continue to breathe toxic air in the national capital as the air quality around Anand Vihar was recorded at 442 at 7.30 am on Monday. AQI (Air Quality Index) around the area is 442, categorised as 'severe', as claimed by CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board), reports ANI.

A thick layer of smog continues to engulf the national capital and an AQI of 363 was recorded at Sarai Kale Khan. In Ghazipur, the AQI was 402, categorised as 'severe'.

On Sunday morning, the air quality in the national capital was recorded in the 'very poor' category with an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 377, the CPCB said.

According to the CPCB's Sameer app, 16 out of the 40 monitoring stations in the city reported air quality in the 'severe' category, while the remaining recorded 'very poor' levels. An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor', and 401 to 500 'severe', according to the CPCB classification.
