Delhi-NCR weather today (April 3): Dust storms, strong winds sweep capital, Noida as IMD warns of rain and thunderstorms, sounds yellow alert for weekend

The weather conditions in Delhi and the nearby NCR regions changed noticeably from Friday morning. Dust storms and strong winds have been sweeping through areas like Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad since early hours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert warning of light rain accompanied by gusty winds, with wind speeds expected to range between 40 and 70 km/h.

As per the latest Delhi weather forecast, the sky will remain cloudy on April 3, with chances of light rainfall and strong winds continuing through the day. The IMD has placed Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad under a yellow alert. Additionally, light rain or drizzle is also likely to persist in Delhi on April 4.

Delhi weather today

Delhi-NCR woke up to cloudy skies on Friday, with a dust storm sweeping parts of the region. The weather department has predicted thunderstorms accompanied by rain on Friday night and Saturday.

Delhi had recorded a maximum temperature of 36.8 degrees Celsius on Thursday, 2.8 notches above the seasonal average, while the minimum settled at 18.9 degrees Celsius.

The temperature will range between 19°C and 32°C, with a partly cloudy sky and chances of one or two spells of rain or thundershowers tomorrow in the city. The minimum temperature is likely to be 16°C and the maximum 30°C, with a partly cloudy sky expected on April 5, Sunday.
